Sociology

The Sociology department at Trimurti College explores the structure, development, and functioning of human society. The course examines key social institutions, cultural practices, social change, and contemporary social issues such as inequality, gender, caste, and globalization. Through theoretical insights and field-based learning, students develop critical thinking and research skills—preparing them for careers in social work, civil services, NGOs, education, research, and policy development.
